Mixing elements of psychedelic techno and world music into a heady stylistic brew, Medicine Drum starts off with "Shaman's Prayer," and its trippy synth sounds augmented by a shamanic chant where the group throws its hat into the dwindling ethno-techno ring. From that point on the whole album transforms into a brilliant synth romp that turns it into a magical piece of art.
